Life is a powerful metaphor for everything we know. It has been ongoing from time immemorial and will continue long after we are gone. Ontogeny represents a reflection of that metaphor in both the individual and the universe.
Ontogeny is the only completely synthesizer work in the Life in Music collection.
Synthesizers, though newer as an instrument of sound than pianos, can nevertheless reach areas of psyche that seem more primal. Ontogeny is an attempt to represent a life from its conception until death using these primal sounds.
