Presently, Fidelio is the only completely solo piano album of the Life in Music collection.
The origin of these works rest in the piano and the classical tradition. Fidelio marks a major transition in performance style. Prior works had been painstaking constructions, sometimes written note by note.
This album, however, began as a concept and as its introduction from the first piece “Condrestl Abdelio” – an improvised work. Improvisation had always been something in the background. Now, I finally recognized it as a style of playing and a place for practice. Doing so opened an entire pasture of creativity prior left untouched.
Though there were other albums prior, Fidelio is considered the first of the rest of the albums that have come since.
